Orchestrated five-year strategic plan with partnership between Chicago promoters and radio outlets, transforming The Waltz into a marquee fundraising event for Heartland Alliance’s Neon Street Program for Homeless Teens. Generated $18K at inaugural event, over $100K for five-year series. Booked national, regional and local talent that included: Mavis Staples, Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins), Jeff Tweedy of Wilco, Rick Nielsen and Bun E Carlos of Cheap Trick, Ronnie Spector of The Ronettes, Steve Earle, Blondie Chaplin, blues legends Koko Taylor, Lonnie Brooks, jazz greats Kurt Elling, Howard Levy, world music founder/composer David Amram and many more; mirrored volunteer crew with house to reduce overhead by 40%.
